What is it that drew Klara into using Poison Types?
Accident that really worked out in the end actually! When she went off to take on the gym challenge her choice of Pokemon was very much just her favorites rather then type based. Slowpoke, Venipede and Wurmple! And anyone who said they werent cute would get their asses kicked in.
Eventually Poison became a type focus when Klara aimed for being the next Poison type gym leader! One because it was easier and she was kinda lazy in the beginning let’s be real, two half her team were basically Poison already, and three because it was fitting her image and brand so well.
Happy accidents happen! Now she’s an expert in the field and even her brand of cosmetics use small doses of poisons to make the colors the brightest possible.

History
Klara sparkles and glitters where she stops; all but full of glistening and bubbling poison. It lies beneath the glamour of a perky smile and the dotting drolls of valleyspeak of someone a little more snide so to say. The shadow across her face is not just from her puffy pink curls after all! She knew it since her youngest years crowded with family … lots of family …, some eight brothers and sisters that she needed space of her own to really shine. Too much fighting, cramped in places, fits for attention and otherwise gave her perspective. She had to go BIG or stay there.
First came the idea of being a hot underground bubblegum pop icon! Music was already a peak in Galar and one of her childhood rivals during her gym trials was making it big time. You put on a cute, perky facade and add some flair and she was sure to take spotlight! The attention she so desperately craved was in her hands!
.. Or so she thought. Turns out being ‘cute and having virulence of poison types’ was a theme already taken in Unova that just didn’t quite stick to Klara. Even with merch made by her own hands and concerts held in her name didn’t quite sell albums. Eight of her ‘Krazy for Klara’ albums sold and that just about ended her music career.
But Klara was nothing short of determined! Though she failed at that and beating the gym challenge at her Pokemon career prior she was going to do it again with style! Most of her rivals have grown into their careers since then ( Piers, Raihan, Leon, etc ) and earned a place in the major gym leagues. Avery, a close friend, like her would know they had a place there too if they really trained hard; so off to the most esteemed dojo there was to harness their title and skills!
Klara had dropped the music career but kept the social icon into a big media buzz. Besides Raihan ( no one can beat Raihan in social media anything ) she’s one of the most popular influencers known for her perkiness, grinning smiles, and an upcoming Poison type gym leader ( not to mention the lack of competition for a type perfect for herself ).
Klara is nice on the outside, but rather .. unkind beneath. But it is all in a matter of competitive spirit. It gets the best of her in most situations. She is an up and coming gym leader; wanting to bring the beauty of poison types to the region of Galar! Except minor league just won’t cut it for her and the major leagues is quite up there in competition and popular faces.
Does she really want to work hard to get there? .. No. Absolutely not. That's just asking too much.
